Dave, I worked with that 3GB switch to try to get up to 2g heap but was never able to do it successfully - get a large heap I mean. Never tried it was jrocket though.

As for "max heap size" in general, I don't think there's anything CF-specific about it. CF will use whatever is available if it needs to use it, but heap size is completely controlled by the JVM.
