Cant you just put an .htaccess file in the directory and use mod_rewrite to handle all of the redirects in the short-term? You can certainly recreate the physical files and have redirect code in place, if you want to, but the mod_rewrite will save you a lot of time and will be faster. If you want to use CF, then I would create an index.cfm file and then put the redirect in your Application.cfcs onRequestStart() function.
