Not sure if this will help any, but I built an app that was blamed for the
server going down when ever it wanted too. We were able to narrow down the
problem to the way that CF was setting up the session variables. It seemed
that somehow the cookie wasn't deleted off the users machine even though it
was a session "cookie". Allaire was of no help with the problem and it just
sank into a large black hole there.
Try removing your cfapplication tag and see if that fixes the problem. If so
maybe everything can be restored by reinstalling CF .. the next step would
be to reinstall the OS and CF and the last step would be to throw the server
and app away.

Subject: PLEASE HELP!!! cfserver.exe takes up 100% resources
Dear All,
We've been using CF4.5.1, Spectra 1.01. The site has been working find until
last week our web server crashed. After the crash, the site itself seems to
work fine. But when we try to use the Webtop, it just times out.(we are not
even getting the log in screen.) The only source of problem that we can
think of is that (after the crash) cfserver.exe is using almost 100% of the
cpu resource and it takes extremely long time to process the application.cfm
for webtop application. if you have any idea on why this is happening,
please let us know.
Thanks in Advance.
Deepak
