I disagree Macromedia in the passed have done some very strange things;
with Authorware which was Mac/Win multimedia development software when
sales dropped the Management was promising a firm commitment to Mac/Win
while the Macromedia's development team had already axed it, and at no time
during testing or at time of release did they state that it had been
dropped. They only came forward after the questions started rolling in with
the statements of if there was significant requests they would reconsider
it, which was crap! They quickly started with statements that the direction
they had chosen to move in for the Windows only version could not be done
on the Mac etc etc.
The only thing to expect from Macromedia is if it sells well they sell it
if it does not turn a good profit it will go. And I doubt if Macromedia
will keep competing software around to their establish market dominant
software. At the least the Studio name will go as the term is already used
in their marketing strategies for bundling software.
But i hope I'm wrong!
