> What is the difference setting the default Client Variable Storage using

It tells CF Server where to store the client variables - either in a
registry entry (memory and hard disk usage on the server) or in client
cookies (in the browser)

When using the Registry, on very busy sites it can eat unnecessarily into
the server memory, thus slowing down HTTP and CF requests
