Well if you look at the archives there will be a mention of a pcmag article
that showed CF outperformed JSP by a long shot. Since JSP is basically Java
that should be your answer from robustness. And as for security, CF is only
as secure as your server and your programming is, as is the same with any
other scripting language.

Hi All

We have built a very complex online trading platform using ColdFusion and
SQL Server 7.0. The site functions very nicely and has done so for 9mths.

However, the client is wanting to license banks to have their own 'private
label' version of the site and they are concerned the banks will insist on a
Java driven site (as this is what they are most comfortable with from a
security/robustness/performance point of view). I am not sure if these are
realistic concerns but I know I am going to have to write a document
outlining why ColdFusion is a solid platform for this type of site.

I am aware that CF is used in many large successful sites but I am unable to
find any examples of Finance/Banking/Trading sites using CF. Does anyone
know of any? Does anyone know why my client should be pleased we are in CF
rather than Java?

Thanks for any help.

David
