What I did in my shopping cart, using UPSPrice.cfm hacked to work
with the new online tools, is let the customer choose several from
loop options.

1. All. For every item in the cart it loops over the tag pulls the
price off of the UPS site then adds them up.

2. It loops through the weights of the items in the cart and every
time it hits above the weight you specify, it goes to UPS and get's
the price. Certainly not an exact science, especially if you sell
items that range from large and light to small and heavy. For
instance, if you sell basketballs and paperweights, you may be able
to get 8 - 2 lb basketballs in 1 box for a total package weight of 16
lbs, but you may be able to get 20 - 5 lbs. paperweights into 1 box
at a weight of 100 lbs.
