Seeking a cold fusion (or other web-enabled software) app that can form the basis of an extensible, customizable, ad-hoc information manager. Essentially, I have a dept. chair here at the university who wants to be able to store and easily retrieve a variety of different kinds of information on an ad-hoc, ranging from an inventory of lab space, to lists of research publications, to a database of research grant information, to who knows what? Once upon a time, there used to be a class of software app called a "PIM" or personal information manager. That is the sort of thing that I have in mind, but something in CF where we can easily modify and extend the app would be terrific. Any ideas?
