Recently, I included an image tag in our html pages that references to a cfm file so we could capture certain variables from those static pages. It looks like this: <img src="tracking.cfm"> - Coincidently , the same day that we included this code, Google robot visited our site like it does every month or so. - The day after no more traffic was coming from Yahoo powered by Google and it stayed that way for the last 3 weeks now. - Worst, all those pages that were ranked top 10 the day before were not indexed anymore. - However, the ranking still good when searching directly Google but not when searching within Yahoo powered by Google. Is it possible that having included this tag caused the Google to deindex us? If yes, it looks like Yahoo Google has stricter criteria than plain Google. Are they spooked by an image tag that is not referencing to an image extension, especially cfm? Any thoughts will be very welcomed. Thanks!
