Remember Jakob is a useability practitioner specialising in HCI techniques.
There is a big difference between good usability or HCI and good design
You need to find a resource which encapsulates both, or pick info out of
difference sources
I think one magazine called (creative the webdesigners bible) which we get
in the UK has some good articles in it
