Has anyone ever successfully launched a Windows application from a web page? If so, how? The only way I've found so far is using an ActiveX component--but only in theory. I'm looking for source code I could modify to launch a particular application. Is it possible to simply use an <object> tag to launch the application? Anyone know anything about this sort of thing?
