Excellent product, shortens dev time and has loads of great functionality.
Neatly emmulates a OO architecture (except inheritence and encapsulation) so
its easy for OOPers to get to grips with and its all about code re-use too.
However, be prepared to hack Allaire code. Especially the non query-parammed
queries (seriously!). Also you need top end gear as every request involves a
huge tag stack to emmulate OO systems.
In short a real boon for simple personalisation and Content management
systems (but needs tweaking and good gear) but requires seriuos work to
deploy on a clustered environment with complex functionality. Still, I'd
rather use Spectra, with its rules and containers, than custom build the
framework for every app.

Subject: Thoughts on Spectra
Hi list, my boss just walked in and handed me Allaire's Spectra 1.5. He
wanted to hear opinions on it. I've never really investigated it, so I
thought I might see what experiences you guys (and gals) have had with it or
heard about it.
Thanks in advance!
