Actually, CF 4.0.1 runs fine on Win2K. When you install it, it will break
certain MDAC components. If you just run CF, though, you might never even
notice! You can fix this by installing MDAC 2.6 from
http://www.microsoft.com/data/ after installing CF 4.0.1. Allaire doesn't
support or warrant 4.0.1 on Win2K, though.

You can run as many separate virtual servers on one machine as you like. CF
is licensed on a per-machine basis. Your reseller is incorrect. Just as an
aside, Fig Leaf Software resells Allaire products, and our sales team
understands licensing requirements, and won't sell you more product than you
need.

You can only define one root mapping in CF Administrator, but as long as you
don't use absolute mappings in CFINCLUDE and CFMODULE, you won't need the
root mapping. If you do want to use absolute mappings, you can put all your
virtual server directories in a single directory, map the root mapping to
that single directory, and set up the virtual servers to point to the
appropriate subdirectories.
