It will not unless the custom tag has a VTM file along with it. By default
the VTM should be placed in
C:\Program Files\Allaire\ColdFusion Studio 4.5\Extensions\TagDefs\CFML\

If the tag does not come with a VTM you can have Studio generate a VTM, but
it wont have a full menu interface like the ones that come installed with
Studio.
Go to the Tag Inspector tab in Studio. It looks like a magnifying glass over
a piece of paper.
Click on the little gear to open the Tag Definitions window. Then click Add
Tag and add your custom tag with any attributes you want.
