Well for example let's say in a few weeks you need to display a page w/out that common
header (popup window for example). Or, perhaps you want to execute a template that
won't return any output at all, only a cflocation to some other page. Well you're
stuck with all that display stuff in your common application.cfm. It's usually
cleaner to include stuff like that as needed, and it's not that much more work (less,
in the long run).
I think in general it's not only what works at the moment, but what will also work for
the foreseeable future that should be used.
