I've had this problem before with access and fixed it by setting permissions for iusr and iwam this time I'm using dbase4 I'm able to insert and select but unable to update and delete I have set iusr and iwam there permissions are set administrator the actual files inducing the index is set to archive also set permissions for folder Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' [Microsoft][ODBC dBase Driver] Operation must use an updateable query.
