You need to register the SQL Server that you are connecting to in Enterprise
Manager.
Just click Action/New SQL Server Registration
Type the IP address of the isp's SQL Server into Available Server's and
click Add
Use the SQL Server login and type in the Username and Password the isp gives
you.

Most isp's will not let you create a database though. You need to call them
and have them create it and give you a username and password. Then you can
log in and create your tables or whatever you want.

SQL Server Developers Edition is free for developers. So no you dont have to
buy it ;-)
