If you're using a decent database engine (SQL Server, Oracle etc.) then you
can have multiple queries in one request - only one trip to the database via
ODBC/OLEDB

<cfquery datasource="myDSN">
        insert into table1 (field1, field2)
        values (value1, value2);
        insert into table2 (field1, field2)
        values (value1, value2);
        insert into table3 (field1, field2)
        values (value1, value2);
        insert into table4 (field1, field2)
        values (value1, value2)
</cfquery>
