well i'm getting into some deep MVDB (multivalue database) projects and am
making good progress even in the past 24 hours. we've located products that
expose the structures and items (records) of MVDBs for use with SQL-based
DBs and application servers such as CF.
glad you found it interesting...looks like we're on our way to integrating
CF-based apps with jBASE and MVDBs in general now. there are some really
interesting aspects of MVDBs though and it's good learning for anyone
interested. there are some old legacy applications based on Pick and MVDBs
that you may run into here and there. but you can get to that data in a
fairly straightforward manner.

Thanks for asking the question -- haven't used it but it looks very
interesting -- very unix oriented however. For others that may be
interested the web site for the product is
http://www.jbase.com/products/jbase_download.html -- including a 450 page
programers reference manual -- and a large 25mb plus file (or set of files)
that contain a developers version of the entire jBASE product -- it is
available for serveral varieties of Linux/Unix and both Win NT/2k and Win
95/98 -- from scanning the ref manual, looks like Windows may be more of
an after thought however.

Has anyone on this list ever worked with jBASE?
