See page 403 in Chapter 15 of Sybex's Mastering Cold Fusion for details about names
and updating the databases.

If you do server side valiadation via Cold Fusion, you can incorporate the logic just
prior to the database update logic.

The names of the data in the cells are basically arrays associated with the gridcolumn
names with a row index.

Email me offline and I can send some actual code if this helps.

Subject: CFGRID AND JAVASCRIPT

I've looked everywhere trying to get documentation regarding accessing cell
fields within a cfgrid but can't seem to find any. How do you validate data
with the javascript before it is submitted?
I can use the onvalidate function but that what are the names of teh form
fields to check??? I had a similar problem when using CFTREE but was able
to figure it out...

Thanks,
