Nothing unethical about that at all in my opinion. Studying code that works
and borrowing where needed is a valid way to learn. Of course, it's always
nice to give proper credit when it's requested (thinking of places like
DHTML.com which have statements like "take what you want, just give us
credit in the code comments").
