That's not ENTIRELY true.

If your'e using Spectra (I know this isn't that list.. But it's worth
the mention) you're in for a surprise.  And actually seems to do the
same thing on either SQL 7 or 2000, but doesn't seem to manifest itself
until after the upgrade (i.e., if you go back to 7 from 2000.. It will
still occur)...

Problem is that the Data Transformation features stop working from the
Enterprise Manager or from the DTS Wizard itself.  Doing the processing
automatically (i.e., scheduled) or programmatically seems to work fine.
Only the gui's stop working.

Other than that.. It's nicer.. For certain.
