Sorry I dont think you're getting what Im trying to say, maybe Im not
communicating it well; BUT

What Im trying to do is fully working on 4 of my 5 collections, I can
update a single record in verity no problem in these 4 collections
(without having to purge all the data from the colection) and it doesnt
create duplicate keys. I just have one collection that is creating
duplicate keys when I try to update a single verity record (by calling
cfindex action="update" with a query populated with data for this one
key). 

We are building a list with the contents of many fields in them and then
placing that list into the custom fields... this way you're not limited
to just two fields, and it works well... there was an article on this in
CFDJ a while back.

Anyway if anyone has any ideas why this one collection would behave
strangely like this could they please let me know, it's been purged and
re-indexed heaps of times but it keeps doing this :)
