I got it to work!
Once I setup security and obtained the ldap managers account the key was
the Lookup Start and Lookup End specifications.
Lookup Start (&(objectclass=*) (uid=
Lookup End ))
It would have been nice if Ben Forta had put a couple of examples in his
books. I found this specification on the net.
