Rodney,
When you name the datasource and click add to create it, be sure SQL Server
is selected as the database type.

Subject: mapping to SQL database in CF administrator
Sent this out once, but no reply, am trying again.
If anyone can help would appreciate the assist.
We are planning on changing over to SQL from ACCESS. I am not that
familiar
with SQL and have loaded SQL 7 and started playing with it to learn what I
can.
I have imported my tables into SQL. but am having problems mapping to the
database.
IN CF admin under data sources when I try to set the connection to the
database, there is not an option in which a specific database can be chosen.
When using the
ACCESS driver option, you get to choice which database to map to. there is
no such option under the SQL Server Driver. It automatically connects to
the MASTER database under the SQL dir /data/master. How can I get
connected
to my new databases. and also how can I move them from the SQL dir/data dir
to another dir, everytime I try to, I get the message they are in use, but
there is
nothing running, I have even tried turning off the SQL server service.
Thanks for any help on this
Rodney
