Judith or others,
Is it absolutely certain that CF5's Verity recognizes Acrobat 4? How about the
new Acrobat 5? If possible, could someone point me to some documentation?

The version of the verity engine that is shipped with CF4.5.1 doesn't 'see'
..pdf files that were created with Acrobat 4 or greater. If you want to be
able to index your .pdf files, you need to make sure that they are
created/saved as version 3.
