We've used ScreenSurfer here at Fig Leaf, although I don't know if I'd
characterize our use as "large-scale". It's an impressive toolset, though -
at least, I was impressed. We've actually put several of our developers
through ScreenSurfer developer training.

This is going to be dependent on other components of your application, I
think. ScreenSurfer won't be the bottleneck.

You can certainly write code to handle this using ScreenSurfer, either by
itself or in conjunction with a CF front-end. Typically, though, those sorts
of limitations would be implemented in the original mainframe application,
I'd guess. If they're not, you could certainly handle that yourself in code.
