Use an SP to select the records or if you have to use CFQuery use
blockfactor in the CFQuery tag. Also look at what types of cursors you are
using to select the recordsets from within SQL (i.e. keyset or static) as
these impact on performance

Subject: Selecting a large amount of records

I have a SQL server 2000 db holding around 50,000 recs. I need to
select the full 50,000, however CF server eats resources then times out.
Any way round this??

Nick.

If you want people to notice it, you need to put it as a small header
that people see above each message, rather than as just
a footer.

4 lines should be enough.

It's being worked on. The real question was if anyone noticed the bottom
message area. Besides the FAQ and other list info, I was thinking of
replacing the banner ad with community stuff like important sites and
such.
As we have no paid banners there we might as well make it useful in
other
ways.
