cfx_pwimageproc does this, and a lot more
(http:www.developer.perthweb.com.au). It outputs jpegs, but not gifs,
because of the ridiculous licensing requirements of Unisys. They wanted, up
front, more money than we are likely to ever make on the tag. Knowing what
Unisys are like, I'd be a little suspicious of any tag that is not *very*
pricey that does gif output. Long live PNG!
