The best solution to this suggested by people on this list is to output the
Diagnostics string into a TEXTAREA which you make small and disabled, like
this.
<TEXTAREA NAME="Diagnostics" COLS="40" ROWS="2"
DISABLED>#Error.Diagnostics#</TEXTAREA>
