This is gonna be good. Which way should we face to see the mushroom cloud?

Subject: With all this talk of HostCentric / Virtualscape

With all this talk of HostCentric / Virtualscape, I thought I would chime
in with my story last night.

I have a client that hosts w/ Virtualscape and has been for a while. I
typically do not get involved with the live site, just a developmental site
that is separate. I'm filing email yesterday and click on a link to the
live site, it turns out to be broken, with a 404 error. I chug along,
doing some investigation. All the files are gone from the site (which I
believe was over 500 megs). The directory structure is in place, but the
files are gone.

Since the client is on vacation (and it's 10 o'clock in the evening) I
drop him an email and go to virtualscape.com . I click contact us. It's
too late to call. However, the contact us page says (and I quote) that
"email support is available 24x7x365." I email them explaining the problem.

I get an autoresponder back about a half hour later (after I went to bed)
saying that they cannot offer support via email and I'll have to submit the
request through an on-line form. They autoresponder does refer to some
items in the hostcentric knowledge base, though. None of them are relevant.

I resubmitted the request via the on-line form (the request is: Where did
all the files go, restore them immediately). Submitting the form gives me
a standard 24 hour disclaimer.

I think that Mr Client man comes back from vacation today.

Check out the directory structure on the site:

    www.realtyview.net

  I'm gonna eat breakfast now.
