Thanks for the help on this -  I finally got it working. For anyone
interested this seemed to be the trick (it seems a bit strange though).

I am using CF4.5.1 SP2 and found that the JAVA area in the Administrator
needed the full path including the file name for the JVM.DLL, it also needed
the full path including the file name for the JAVA file because it was a
.JAR file. But it would only work if the path to the cfx.jar DID NOT include
the actual CFX.JAR path. I originally had this with the full file name
included because I had read that the full file name was required whenever
you were using a .JAR file. Pretty confusing. I am not sure if other systems
have the same bizarre problem...
