Have you updated your swap file size to reflect the new physical RAM?

Also many of the apps you listed are really desktop apps, and wouldn't have
the same kind of RAM consumption controls that something like SQL Server or
IIS would.  If you have either of those running I would definitely look into
limiting their needs, if it's really affecting you.
