I've been at this for so long I think I'm going to throw up. ;(
Anyway, the server has been running since June, just fine. The other day
we decided to take it down to pull out a nic we needed elsewhere and to
hook it up to a new larger KVM switch. Big mistake. The database wouldn't
come back up.

At this point, when I try to mount it, I get:

<snip>
alter database mount
Wed Sep 12 18:34:23 2001
CKPT: terminating instance due to error 220
Instance terminated by CKPT, pid = 1176

I don't know what this means, or what to do about it.

(Windows 2KAS SP2, Oracle 8.0.5)

Can anyone tell me where to start?
