It seems to me that this is common, yours is just more honest about it..
Ironic that Earthlink's new kick is about keeping your information private..
A company shouldn't have the right to say "Ok, you're paying us to setup an
account based on information you provided, and then we're going to sell that
information to other companies.. As recent commercials are saying, this is
not how the Internet was meant to be and its really not but on the other
hand the internet was not meant to be for recreational purposes and for fun
and dare I say it games.. I guess, as sad as it is to say, you might as well
be glad that your ISP is being fairly honest.. most companies swear they
don't sell my info.. yet I seem to be getting more and more spam.. I
actually have 'spamboxes' setup for companies I don't trust.. if they behave
after a little while I switch the account address to one of my main ones..
