Ok sorry for the off topic post, but we are running out of options and I'm hoping someone here can help. We have a server that houses several web sites as well as mail and our SQL Server (not the best setup, I know). For the last few days, our mail server has been losing it's connection to the SQL server and the error logs are filling up with "This SQL Server has been optimized for 8 concurrent queries. This limit has been exceeded by 6 queries and performance may be adversely affected" So yesterday we went in and bumped up the amount of memory that SQL allocates for queries, we also increased the maximum worker threads, and set SQL to a higher priority. None of this seems to have helped a bit. In fact the logs are filling up even faster. We have no DBA on staff, so we are reading the Books Online and Microsoft's site to find any useful info(don't laugh). Has anyone ever had this problem or perhaps know a good resource for finding the answer to our dilemma? Any help is appreciated.
