Try...
Where open_date > to_date('01-JAN'||to_char(sysdate, 'YYYY'), 'DD-MON-YYYY')
This will give you midnight of the current year.

Subject: oracle help
I have a DTS package on my sql server that pulls from an oracle database.
There is a column called open_Date and I want it to pull the data starting
with the year 2001 till it is no longer needed. Then in 2002 I need it to
do the same thing start pulling all records in 2002 till current. I was
trying sysdate but I cant make it do the dynamic stuff like that. I looked
at the date column oracle command but am not sure on it. Please help if you
can and if you need more info then email me. Thanks in advance.
