Thanks for the example, Tracy. I don't know the hidden cause there myself
(I'm more of a generalist), but I do study ways to find things. Random
notes:

-- Keywords are tricky. In the above, CFTrace and logThread are generic
terms, and would likely give too many general hits. That "1084" seems like
a numeric identifier, and so wouldn't be unique to the problem. Finding the
unique keywords which point to a particular problem is often the hard part.

-- A searchable knowledge base is built over time, and the period
immediately following a release is often the leanest for finding info.

-- Alternate search engines can sometimes help... I often use google.com
too, with a "site:someplace.com" term in there to limit the search.

-- Have you by chance ever used the technote database from the Macromedia
design tools? We're working on bringing these systems together, and it
currently uses atomz.com as a search engine (with an option for a Verity
search). Do you see a functional difference between the searching and
navigational strategies? If you could pick and choose parts of the two
systems, what would best for your own needs?

I wish we had a [EMAIL PROTECTED] type of address to get feedback
in to the parties creating these assets, but for this particular thread I'd
be happy to forward any messages here to others in the group, thanks!
