The image chooser is a series of CFML files. They can be manipulated to do whatever you desire (as long as you've bought the activedit source). I don't really understand what you are trying to do, but that should get you started. On a standard install, the directory with the cfml files is <webroot>/activedit/inc/ the image-manipulation files are image.cfm, right.cfm, and left.cfm.
