I'm not in Customer Service (they'd be able to tell you what they meant
best), but from what I understand it may be the subscription pricing model
that's in change, not the application itself. I don't see new subscriptions
offered on the buy/upgrade page, for instance.

I'd defer to the sales folks for best info on current sales offers though.
