Are they still around? Ignoring the mem leak issues (or "the escapes of memory" ;-) ) I recall that Allaire recommended that connections should not be maintained to Access dbs with CF3.x but changed the database pooling methods with 4.x+ and hence recommended that connections should be maintained. Obviously they should have considered the mem leaks before giving this advice. Ho hum.
