Create an m3u playlist dynamically, the name of which would be a hash of the file path, etc. Send that m3u playlist to the user. I have implemented this solution for wma previewing and mp3 downloading of files. If there is serious interest, I can provide a little cf application and tutorial that does exactly this as implemented a few years ago. It works rather well and is ideal for *on-demand* listening of individual files or whole directories.
