I lurk quite a bit, but not because I'm shy :-) I've come to the
realization, unfortunately, that I really do need to get work done. I'm
not the greatest multi-tasker in the world. Therefore, I've cut down on
my posts, especially on the community list.

Anyway, a big thanks to Michael and everybody else involved for making
these lists and the community as a whole a huge success.

Long live ColdFusion!
Mark

I have to agree with Howie on this. Since CF-Community started up, the
amount of OT posts on CF-Talk has gone waaaay down. There is some
non-tec
h
discussion about the future of CF and such, but it's not the jokes,
politics, marriages, etc. that occur on CF-Community. If you counted the

two
lists together, you'd have about another 20,000 posts.
Add to that the fact that most fusebox posts have moved off the list
onto
the fusebox list (now on topica but for most of the last year on HoF),
th
e
SQL, Studio, Spectra, etc. lists and you see that we've grown greatly
rat
her
than shrunken.
Yes, CFDJ has taken some people away with their list 'for people to talk

to
their authors' and yahoo groups has opened up a few CF lists that have
do
ne
the same. But on the other hand, the amount of lurkers has gone up both
o
n
the lists and on the fuseware news server.
If I can convince Howie to write me a small news demon to listen to a
por
t
and read from a DB then we'd have a news feed here as well and the
lurker
s
would go up even more.
And all this with no publicity, budget or anything else. All this due to

the
work of people like you. Not bad, huh? ;)
