Sure, but this is a direct path for developers to legally learn CF for free
 on their own home dev boxes, without monkeying around with any sort of hos
ting acct, turning a blind eye to licensing or for a newbie to have to figu
re out the eval-to-single-user bit on their own.  

Very smart, and very encouraging.  Certainly makes it easier for all of tho
se zillions of existing Macromedia product owners to get themselves started
 in painless fashion.

If you get the evaluation version and let it expire, the server software 
runs when called through localhost, which makes it, in essence, a 
development version.
