I asked the same question a bit ago here, and got
varied responses.

A lot of people swear by it. Some think it's good for certain
things but not others. Didn't find many (any?) people who
thought it was useless.

I think the basic idea is, it really comes into its own in
large and/or collaborative sites. For small sites, the
architecture is often overkill. And if you're working alone
most of the time, well, you know your own coding habits
best.

I basically used Fusebox as 'inspiration' for overhauling
my own way of working and my basic template apps,
but I didn't go the whole hog. I kept some of my own
habits, but a lot of things - such as commented
documentation style for custom tags, file-naming
conventions, the basic architecture, CF_MAXID and
other bits for enhancing DB portability - I took straight
from Fusebox.

I work mostly alone on relatively small apps, but this
is gradually changing, and implementing a lot of these
ideas now leaves the door open for scalability. Also,
I'm always concerned about future developers who
have to work on code when I'm gone (we've all been
that person!), and I think that:

1. If they're familiar with Fusebox, they'll find their
way around my code in no time.
2. Even if they're not, it's now well thought-out and
standardised, which will hopefully make things
   easier.

My advice with Fusebox is, look at it in relation to
your working situation AND the prospects for your
near-future working situation.
