Actually, during the installation process, a link for each of these is placed in the StartUp folder. This way, both the Server and the RDS Service are started when Win98 is started up. And, WebSite Server Pro has the option of being started as a Service (in the systray) much like if it were installed on WinNT.
So, yes, I have them both running with the icons in the systray. I realize that no one is trivializing this problem. I have searched the Knowledge Base, Forums and even the archives of this list. Nothing that I found, of all the possible solutions, has been successful in resolving this problem. Macromedia - are you catching any of this? Thanks anyway. Judith David Hannum \(Ohio University\) put into words: >I'm not trying to trivialize here (is that a word) but if I recall, you have >to manually start CF Server and RDS on 95/98. (or have them both in >startup) You should have two Icons in your system tray, one for server and >one for RDS.
