Yes, it's very weird. Probably has something to do with the way CF hands off mail to a built-in third party add-on from Netscape (I think Netscape) to handle the mail transactions. I've only seen it happen a few times, and no amount of shuffling files around ever solves anything. You gotta bounce the service.
