Ian, You need to set the option in IIS to check if pages exist before sending them to the CF ISAPI. It's under Virtual Directory -> Configuration button -> select .cfm -> click Edit -> check box for "check that file exists". Then if a cfm page doesn't exist it gets redirected to your IIS 404 page.
