The company that I work for does dynamic catalogs, but not quite in the same fashion that you're talking about.
We have a product that will build a catalog in PDF format from data that is either imported from an Excel file or entered through an interface. It is made for outputting to a printer-ready version for mass duplication of a printed catalog. I asked and it will create a single PDF, but I'm not sure if that is what you're looking for or not. Just FYI, the application is written in a combination of CF and FoxPro.
