Q 1: Initially, I thought just when posting a form. But an e-mail tonight
makes me wonder if even just clicking on a link within this section causes a
problem.  The can get to the site and navigate and use the site normally
except for this one critical section.

Q 2: Everything's on the same server/same domain.

Q 3: No SSL. All standard HTTP.

When you say routing or DNS problem -- on our end (there server end) or on
the DSL (client) end?  As I mentioned, fairly recently, they changed DSL
providers.

Sounds like either a routing or a dns problem.  Do you mean that they can
get to the site, but only when they post a form they get the error?  Are
both the update form and the target (form action) both on the same server
and the in the same domain?  Is HTTP/SSL being used anywhere?
